Can I use a high quality artificial turf (indoor/outdoor carpet) as a bathroom flooring?
In my mind, it would look really great. New synthetic grass / artificial turfs are MUCH better looking than they used to be and some even feel really great on your bare feet. Would they work well for a bathroom flooring? How are they installed.....and how are they maintained. Can you mop them? And am I crazy as my wife implies? And how do I get her to go for it? Thanks in advance for your answers.
I think water would tend to get trapped in the turf with out being easy to drain or clean. This would lead to bacteria build up and health problems. Stick to tile. There are non slip types available if you need it.

How inconvenient is carpet in the kitchen/bathroom?
My fiancee and I are looking for a house to rent. Came across a nice one today, the only con being that the kitchen and bathroom have carpet flooring.
We have two almost-5-year-olds. We're worried about spilled food and overflowing toilets.
The carpetting is the only issue keeping us from settling there. If you have carpet in the kitchen and/or bathroom, how much of an inconvenience is it for you?
I should probably also mention that it's off-white/cream carpet...
I don't even have kids and cream coloured carpet would be a disaster in my kitchen. It would need steam cleaning every two weeks. i bought a house once with carpeting in the kitchen and it was so disgusting that I wore a mask when I ripped it up, and changed my clothes as soon as I was done. I don't even like to think about bathroom carpet with children. For the bathroom, get one of those rugs for around the toilet that you can take up and wash frequently. If it's not new carpet, if it's not the landlord's newly installed pride and joy, I'd suggest, as someone else has, that he replace it with a vinyl floor, that he buy the materials and you do the labour to install it if you're at all handy. Home Depot has vinyl planks which are easy to do, much better than peel and stick, not expensive, and very easy to look after. Sheet vinyl should only be done by a pro and can be much more expensive.
What is the best way to clean hair from bathroom floor and carpet?
mop doesn't work and even though i used vacuum cleaner, often times i still need to hand pick them.
If your vacuum isn't picking them off of the carpet you either need to empty it or get a new vacuum. For the floor I use my Swiffer Sweeper Vac. I just love it! It picks up hairs in the bath, crumbs in the kitchen, and dirt and grass clippings in the entryway. Works great!
Carpeted bathroom floor is soaked now smells like mildew how to get the smell out without replacing carpet?
I rent my house and dont want to allert the land lord so i need some good tip on how to get the mildew smell out
You don't. Tell the landlord you would like to replace the carpet and work something out. The landlord is going to find out eventually.
